It is used to evaluate the fire resistance of solid insulating materials (such as plastic housings, circuit board substrates, connectors, etc.) in electrical and electronic products. By simulating thermal stress caused by overheated components or resistor failures, it tests the ignition risk, flame propagation, and self-extinguishing ability of materials under contact with a high-temperature glow wire.
